Ah, Spring! Definitely my favorite time of the year :). I absolutely adore everything in the Spring. Especially today, since the weather is gorgeous and—despite the early rain—we will be skating, and there is a festival going on in Philly.
So, here’s a video from the skate. It includes everything I though was worth turning on the camera for.
Like I said, tons of fun! Especially I want to highlight two new things that happened to me today that have never before, um, happened.
First, I found a strange head:
Then, there was a Penny Farthing training going on, too:
After the skate, I decided to get back into the city since it’s just so damn nice out! I just love leaving my place and finding trees that are just starting to grow new leaves.
The blooming phase is nearly done but is still absolutely fabulous.
Flowers, too, are just everywhere you look. Love it!
Everywhere you turn your head—greatness!
New plantings are all over the place and people didn’t get a chance to kill off the plants they payed all that money for, just yet.
Streets, too, are just perfect, given the long-ass winter we’ve had. I missed this since last year.
I’m walking on sunshine. Literally.
OK, I’ve made it to the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. Lots of food, naturally.
A lot of people this year—very crowded. I’m not too sure how we were able to navigate this on skates.
Street performers are all over the place.
Silly rides, too.
And, of course, vendors.
The band was not bad.
Significant police presence, too, as-espected.
I love it how the city uses garbage trucks to block off the streets. Clever, but a little, um, nasty?
Food food food
And trash trash trash
taking you up high,
to give you a great view of the city.
So people can take pics of people. We just can’t get enough of this, I suppose.
I just love the sun, setting around 7pm, instead of the 5pm I’ve gotten used to over the winter.
Lovely day. Hope you had a good one as well.
