Well, I was here on business and spent quite a bit of time working. Roughly 12-hour days, actually. I was left alone on Saturday so I did have a chance to walk around quite a bit, check out different things this city has to offer. Ah, I’m just making excuses for only rolling a 59-second video :-). Here’s the view from my hotel. Finally rained but I made it in safely right before it pored and well, how’s this interesting? LOL Take a look:
You could take a ferry here from Tasmania but, heck, it’s overnight. Nah, I’ll fly, thank you very much.
Now let’s walk around the city, shall we?
Palm trees together with evergreens…. Weired but it’s Aussie-land. Strangely attractive mix, doncha think?
Weddings, parties, everything. That’s like for ya. Right there, in one shot.
These dildoes are all over the place here. Funky.
Aussies are health-nutts when they get older. No idea why, actually, but it is a fact. Cool.
Nice “For Sale” sign, dude!
Another didlo. They love them here. hmmm
Small water treatment plant. This is something I have not really seen before. Perhaps it is good, perhaps not. Who knows?! I do like the idea. We could make our own drinkable water, no?
Oh, honey, stop, please.
We’re in the French district now.
Pick up after yer dawg! Actually, the fines are pretty steep here and I do see occasional cop staring at my cig, waiting for me to flick it and fine me $200. Oy vey!
Birds. DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS! Everything these signs. Sigh. Well, I suppose that is why not too many of them. New Yorkers should really learn this. Don’t like pigeons? Well, don’t fucking feed them and they will breed less or just leave. D’oh!
Gorgeous view, ain’t it? I surely think so.
Quiet here in “winter” :-)
Still, there are some skinny girls on the beach. Not sure if I’m love with the overalls…
Yeah, the place does look like this! ;-)
See the weeds on the TOP of the lantern?!
Magic happens when you crank up the color!
This is like picking your nose and expecting gold LOL
Ah, the artists! What would we do without you!
High-dynamic-range photos allow me to show you everything I see, but this is far from all. Really, visiting the place is where it’s at.
Many trees like this here. Lovely.
I really need to come back here for a month and just relax, take all the nature in.
The nature, and all the broken… eeerm… what is that?
Ah, a piece of trash! So uncommon here…
This is how people live here. Simple, uncomplicated.
Love the mailboxes. They are part of the design here. Really, Australia is surprising me with it’s simple and clean beauty.
You see what I mean? Gorgeous! Nice “winter”, ay?
So clean here… Took me a while to find an empty bottle. Come to think of it, I think USA is the dirtiest country I have been to… At least it seems that way.
Like other areas are not?
There is even a sharps disposal for those heroine addicts…
That’s a pretty cool mailbox, don’t you think?
Yeah, for real!
Ah, there is one! All I had to do is zoom in :)
Even the run-down houses look phenomenal!
See what I mean?
Poopshoot of a back alley… And you see what I mean about a clean city?!
Full of old cars. People do not seem to be rich here. But the keep the place neat. Lovely!
Ugly murals are priceless.
Very sleepable bench. I don’t see many homeless here so I suppose there is not much need to prevent.
HA! Found Stance socks in a store window. I am a big fan!
Typical mall area.
Protesters are protesting something…
This one got me! LOL
Ah, this is dope! Lights! I wish I was here at night to see.
Nice paint job!
Order “one coffee, please” and get this. Ah, I want to go back!
Running trail. So nice!
Some art studio.
Told you there are so many old cars here…
Sunset over Geelong area.
Very nice town. I am quite impressed. Although, I just simply ran through it; did not see much. Definitely need to of back, ASAP!
