Update (August 6th, 2015): This post, along with a few others have been sitting in my drafts folder on WP for a few years (!!) already. Clearly, it’s time to do something about this. Even I’ve already switched to a different format for image uploads… OK, here we do, I’ll try to finish all the drafts in the next few days. Cheers.
I only have one evening. If you only have one evening… One evening in a wonderfully interesting city… Get a guide! Someone who has been there before. I was lucky-enough to find such guide and we spent a beautiful evening together, walking around Sydney. I highly recommend this city as a must-see for everyone. I need to spend a week here, at least. Sydney has the charm of a place oh-so-very-foreign to us, Americans; and yet it is so much like home with skyscrapers, well-groomed streets, etc.
Of course, the anti-aircraft guns! How can we do without them being the first thing I see?!
Impressive architecture here. Quite impressive!
Gorgeous park in the middle of the city. And the water is so amazingly still.
Highway to… Not sure but I’m sure I’ll be walking over there.
The city, by the way, is very skatable, it seems. I need to bring my skates over next time I visit; this way I can see much more of the city much faster.
Nice here in winter :-). August is their winter, you know. I wonder how it is here in summer…
Update (08-06-2015): Ha! I suppose it’s been almost exactly two years now!
Look at these roses! Their multi-colored… Cool :-)
Oh, but of course!
How did they get the whole thing to glow like that?!
AHA! The mirror on top :-) and the lamp is on the bottom. Interesting idea.
Would you like some grapes with your water? ;-)
The city is somehow quite peaceful at night.
Next time, perhaps, I’ll bring a tripod, too.
OK, but I don’t see what all the fuss is about…
Wish I had time to visit this place.
Even the back alley leading to the bridge is super-clean. And this is after a whole day of people throwing shit all over the place. Respect!
Friends forever? I thought the locks are more for lovers, no?
I like this photo, and the view. Love the view.
Lovely here. I definitely need to return to Sydney for a longer time.
Quite a bridge, huh?
Of course I would find a Hello Kitty store. Too bad it’s closed.
Wait, what? Ducks? I like ducks, too.
Overall, I’m quite impressed with Australia and Sydney specifically. It is a different place. Different from many places I have been to. I will make plans to return here. Matter of fact, I’m already making plans to visit in 2016, if the stars align.
