This article on Adobe’s new toy that I found on Computerworld led me to www.acrobat.com.

And let me tell you… WOW!

This thing seamlessly imports my big 40-page Word 2007 document in seconds!  Formatting is all there.  WOW

Adobe has yet to announce pricing for the Acrobat.com collaboration service, which will be sold on a subscription basis.

… the company hopes to woo subscribers by combining the Web-style collaboration capabilities of a Google Docs with the fine-grained document layout and presentation capabilities of Microsoft Word

No sh*t?  Awesome!!

As-is, the toy looks amazing.

So, Sony Ericsson announced the release of XPERIA X1 phone.

Go to that website, read some more news about this toy, or do whatever is it you do to research a new gadget.

As for me, I am going to start reading up on this.  I am sick of my Motorola Q and have been thinking about changing it to something else for months now (even though I’ve had it for less than a year).

We’ll see how things go, but so far this is the best alternative to iPhone that I have seen.

Windows mobile is somewhat important to me at the moment (ability to push to/from Exchange is a good thing) so X1 sounds like a great buy.

Plasma surface coatings for medical apps

So, plasma surface coatings are kicking ass in the news, still.  Every day I see something new and in this article (press release it looks like) company A announces purchase of technology from company B.

Who cares about the companies!  I just like to see plasma used more and more in the medical industry, be in this time for surface processing of materials.

“We are excited to add March Plasma’s extensive application knowledge and surface materials to the portfolio of surface modification methods and materials we offer to our medical device customers,” stated Jon Anderson, CEO of Harland Medical Systems, Inc.

Yep, looks like a purchase of A by B or what-not.

March Plasma Systems seems a good solid company with a nice product portfolio although all seem to be in the vacuum plasma field.  What happened to atmospheric pressure?  Didn’t you guys hear about this new cool thing where everyone can, like, not explode from vacuum and you have no need for expensive pumps?

Although, I do like the way vacuum plasmas look.  Much prettier than my plasma since in vacuum there is just so much more of it.

I got a cat names Aza

So, I named my cat “Aza”. I gave her that nick after the pussy cat I had for a few weeks. I was uber-allergic to her (I mean the pussy cat)… Ahh… I just looked at the pics… She was a gorgeous cat!

So, my new cat shall be called “Aza” now.

Doesn’t it sound African? Well, it’s one of the fallen angels — Azazello.

However……… I will wait for Dave to give her a nick. He’s usually good at this. He calls her “nook”, but then he calls everyone that… There needs to be a better one. I suppose if we go shopping to… can’t remember that place… there! if we shop there, I’ll have a better idea.
