Let’s agree to disagree?

This story on Google’s new favicon claims that Google is google and belongs to the people.

I disagree!

Google is a giant monster of a company that hopes to consume all of world’s information, stop time, and lock the universe onto itself. Google is an ego-centric monster!

But, alas, their competition is even worse. Thus, I am a gmail user; I search using Google; etc.

I hope that some strong competition would continue to exist so Google would continue to improve (which I have not, personally, seen in a while).

Android…

So, the new cool thing is this Android soft for cell phones by Google, huh?

Well, PC Magazine shows off a truckload of screenshots of this new thingie.

Boy oh boy!

Android

This soft is quite something, huh?

Yeah…  I think I need to gear up for a new phone soon.

Now, this time I mean it!!!  If Sprint does not carry this I am fucking quitting!  I’m sick and tired of Sprint being way behind everyone else on the coolest phones and the coolest everything else.

I hereby promise that if Sprint doesn’t have Android I quit Sprint! :)

Google & Microsoft — teaming up on Drexel

So, the news have been floating around Drexel that Google is about to offer some Drexel-specific services to us the students.  Now I hear Microsoft is going to do something similar if not the same.

Good good!

According to this article by Philly Business Journal this is going to happen in March this year.  March is already almost here…  Cool!  How about free iPhones for everyone or something? :)

Google is the sh*t

Literally! I have been saying for a while that I am disappointed in Google. They should really stick to what they know best, ok?

Here, read this article “eBay takes its adverts off Google“…

eBay has pulled all its advertising from Google after learning of the search giant’s plan to gatecrash its user conference this week to promote Checkout, a rival to eBay’s PayPal payment service.

The online auction site, which is Google’s biggest advertiser by far, cancelled the adverts indefinitely after the search engine invited eBay’s largest sellers, in Boston for their annual convention, to a rival party.

Once at the party, which was scheduled for last night, Google planned to extol the virtues of its fledgeling Checkout online payment service.

This is just bad!

Google [g]iPhone?!?

So, I hear there’s a google phone coming? Well, already?! Where’s the toy?

WHERE IS IT????

Google, can you hear me?? I am in a market for a new phone!! Well, please, I am a big fan, please just fucking make it already! I’ve been waiting with buying my old phone for about a half-year, waiting for your toy… Well, my new phone I was about to buy a year and a half ago is already a year and a half old…

Still nothing?

Where is it?

I hear you’re releasing something in U.K.? Really? Well, I’m in U.S…. Could you make an exception?

Otherwise I am switching to Outlook, MSN Search, and all-Microsoft.

You know why??? Because I am reasonably sick of rather vague and, well, pointless promises from you. Wait… Really?? I think you got nothing, google! I think you’re running out of steam you are :-)

DO NO EVIL my ass! :)

Anyway, all this is after reading “The Google Switch: an iPhone killer?” from my favorite Engadget.

don’t be evil, be creative

So, once again Google has been beaten to a good idea. What’s best is they just snatched it but could not even make that good.

Overtime, I am beginning to be a little disappointed in Google and its strategies. Anyway, read this article on google’s use (or failure to) of stumbleupon-like technology. Also some links youmight want to visit are the GigaOM post about this and Google’s own explanation about this.

By the way, I’ve installed this dice thing. And, alas, uninstalled it already - worthless compared with StumbleUpon.

spreadsheets with charts? how original!

I am a big Google supporter myself, but I am a conscientious objector to the hype surrounding Google office apps. What’s this with crappy online Word and not-any-better Excel? I mean it’s cool for Microsoft to have competition, but…

Well, this wonderful online toy Google created just got upgraded. Google spreadsheets now has charts. Very nice, actually. Perhaps Microsoft and others could learn from Google to create simple and clean interfaces. Of course, though, these apps are lacking severely in the usability department. What can I use this for? Excel has a million functions at my fingertips… but do I need those functions? Hmm… Perhaps not…

In any case, take a look at this article on PC World’s Techlog and decide for yourself. I’d also recommend subscribing to a Google account to see this beast for yourself.
