Late December in Philly

I’m traveling to California shortly and looks like the weather there is identical to today’s weather in Philly so I decided to “test out” an outfit I plan to wear to Cali. I brought the camera with to see if it fits well in the bag, etc etc etc. Managed to snap some photos and figured I’d share with you what this year’s Philadelphian early winter looks like.  In short: roses are in bloom, literally.

River traffic is in full swing (it’s a Tuesday, you know).

USS New Jersey looks great today, for some reason.

Gloomy out—been like this all week—but makes for nice photos.

See what I mean about roses?

And the river traffic.

Flowers are definitely confused, after weeks of temperature in the 60s and 70s.

Puddles are all over.

See? Roses…

And dandelions, too.

And lots of squirrels.

The grass is waking up, too.

Never took notice of these large wooden anti-vehicle poles around 3rd and Spruce.  I wonder how old these are and why wooden?

Well, that’s it for today.  Long walk but the camera spent most of the day in the bag—for testing purposes.

Happy New Year!
