:-)

Now we agree!

Yes, people are embracing google... But they seem to be doing so blindly.

Was it the "do no evil" flag that the company USED TO have? What makes everyone love them so much?

True, Google created some rather innovative things. Is this it? Should we now forever use Google because that DID something in the past?

Google is trying to push a lot of things to us. What I see lately is lack of innovation. Although, this might be a marketing thing...

See, Google's getting ready to release their own phone toy. Once Android is out... Perhaps Google's marketing department is holding off release of, for example, better gmail, better contact manager, better calendar, etc.

Or, perhaps, Google's stagnant. They have been loosing their best to places like Facebook, etc.

We'll wait and see. :-)

We do mostly agree (for now)

hehe...
No, I agree with you in the sense that we would all stand to benefit from some healthy competition with Google. And, obviously, though Google is now traded on the Public market, it's still a privately owned corporation.

I meant, that the public have, in general, embraced Google, its subsidiary websites and products like no other web-based company; even incorporating the brand name into everyday lingo.

Therefore, I suspect, that Google is trying to push the 'google' image in order to further ingrain itself into the masses... which I don't necessarily think is a good thing.

How about we'll agree to (mostly) agree?
