You have GOT TO BE KIDDING me, Megatron!!

Oh.  My.  God!!!

This dude changed his name… here:

Name change

It’s official. My name has been changed from Jason Michael Burrows to Jason Megatron Burrows, effective today.

Here’s the story of my trip to the courthouse:

The Judge came in about 15 minutes late & apologized, then said that she’d be hearing name changes first, The first lady got up & changed her last name to honor her birth family. Next, a family went up, and the mom & dad both said that their daughter would like her name changed to Jessica, so the judge signed that order.

Then it was my turn… I walked to the front, where she had me raise my right hand to swear that I would tell the truth, whole truth & nothing but the truth. She asked if my name change was to defraud creditors, I said no. She asked if it would be detrimental to anyone else, I said no. She Then asked if I was indeed changing my middle name to that of my childhood hero, I smiled & said “Yes Ma’am.” She said, “Then I do order & decree that your name be changed from Jason Michael Burrows to Jason Megatron Burrows” with a HUGE grin. There were quite a few chuckles from the courtroom… I was handed the paperwork & I split. =)

Nope, no joke… LOL!

Nice!

Android…

So, the new cool thing is this Android soft for cell phones by Google, huh?

Well, PC Magazine shows off a truckload of screenshots of this new thingie.

Boy oh boy!

Android

This soft is quite something, huh?

Yeah…  I think I need to gear up for a new phone soon.

Now, this time I mean it!!!  If Sprint does not carry this I am fucking quitting!  I’m sick and tired of Sprint being way behind everyone else on the coolest phones and the coolest everything else.

I hereby promise that if Sprint doesn’t have Android I quit Sprint! :)

20 things…

Andrew Galasetti of Lyved wrote an interesting piece on… well… on life.

He lists (with explanations) 20 things his life has taught him up to this point:

  1. You must create and look for opportunities
  2. Negativity will only bring more of it
  3. Where you are does not determine where you can go
  4. If you can’t help others, you can’t help yourself
  5. Follow your passion, money will follow
  6. Enjoy yourself
  7. If it were easy everyone would do it
  8. Planning is good but so is being spontaneous
  9. You have many talents
  10. Don’t work hard without rewards
  11. Money does bring happiness
  12. Someone always has it worse
  13. You’ll need others
  14. Being open-minded is the key to more knowledge
  15. Failure is great
  16. Most people are actually nice
  17. Words and thoughts control everything
  18. Your view is the reality
  19. Inspiration and motivation are everywhere
  20. You can change the world

I urge you to give it a read-through and decide for yourself what you think of it and of your life in general.

I urge myself to think.  I need to be more positive and to dedicate more time to myself rather than to others.  One of my personal problems is that I am usually too eager to jump to help.  What I should really do is distribute my time and my help more sparingly and realize for myself what my time is really worth.

I really think that in this way people would respect me more and would actually value my advice better.  And I will have more time to give it.  It’s an opposite of catch-22, I suppose.  The less time I dedicate to helping the more time I will have to help :).

I need to think further on this but this article did get me started in that direction.

Roses are red, etc…

Take a look at this article on “Valentine Gifts For Geeks“.

Very cool shit! :)

A worthy rival to iPhone

So, Sony Ericsson announced the release of XPERIA X1 phone.

XPERIA X1 phone

Go to that website, read some more news about this toy, or do whatever is it you do to research a new gadget.

As for me, I am going to start reading up on this.  I am sick of my Motorola Q and have been thinking about changing it to something else for months now (even though I’ve had it for less than a year).

We’ll see how things go, but so far this is the best alternative to iPhone that I have seen.

Windows mobile is somewhat important to me at the moment (ability to push to/from Exchange is a good thing) so X1 sounds like a great buy.

MILITARY MEDICAL MISTREATMENT & THE FERES DOCTRINE

Got this clip emailed to me with this message:

WOW! Remember how you were talking about the different levels of human (jail inmates lowest and then Military)? Well there is a short news clip on the Feres Docterine (Prevents military people to sue the govt for medical malpractice) and it is really stunning.

So true. Problems, problems…

Hot Club of Philadelphia @ World Cafe Live

So, we went to see Hot Club of Philadelphia at World Cafe Live.

Was tons of fun! I wasn’t planning to attend this event, it sort-of just fell onto my lap.

Ended up being quite interesting and entertaining. Openers sucked, as usual, but the main band (the Hot Club) were on the point.

Here are some crappy cell phone videos I took:

If you get a chance to, definitely check these guys out! You will not be disappointed.

More “on my desktop” videos

So, here are 3 more videos from my desktop.

VERY nice work, I think.

FYI, first one is kind of X-rated… Just so you know :)

Josh Wink - Higher State Of Concioussness (Uncensored)

NAIVE - 4to Nam Delat’ (in Russian)

NAIVE - Obyvatel (in Russian). Very cool idea and delivery! Much respect!

Russian dinner party

Oh, yes, I did it! I made a Russian party :)
So, here’s the a recipe for a good Russian-food party:
1. be Russian.
2. go to Russian store and buy food.
3. enjoy the food.
:)
Yep, it’s that simple! :)
No, really, this was fun! Especially the flaming/burning sausage thing. Come out really good. It’s like an instant BBQ with just 151 rum :)
