so, my desktop at home seems to accumulate shit all over the place. really. i mean, REALLY!

i am not-too-often-at-home and when i am i have little time to organize my desktop.

so, here i did it and i found two rather cool videos.

now, these are “cool” like my style is “cool”.

both are amazingly creative. rarely do you come across such… such talent!

first one is a video by Greenskeepers “Lotion” which was an in-your-fucking-face video at the time of its release. Truly so, such it still remains. It takes some talent to put this together.

second one is from my all-time-favorite Prodigy. “Smack my bitch up” was on top of my lists for quite some time and it has never gone down. No, this is not one of those songs that i can or want to listen to 100 times in a row and get sick of. No! I can barely stand once. But some craving returns me to it. How many years has it been? Ooooof. Many! And still, I do return to it. My ipod has nothing but the newest (at least in my humble opinion)… including… you guessed it.

Bruce is a balcony barbecue grill. To save space on the often very small balconies Bruce is designed to be hung up on the balustrade. His shape is similar to those of flower boxes. That makes it possible to use standard holders to install Bruce.

p.p.s. you know… i have this logic… IF there is something I need… well… I HAVE IT ALREADY! So, I really dislike getting “practical” gifts. I mean why the heck… If I get something useful… ok, nevermind, THIS is a cool thing. There’s absolutely nothing useful about this! LOL

Harvard’s media lab has produced a trully moving and amazing video.

See, the “cool” thing about this particular video is that, to my understanding, everything you see is not just a silly 3D animation but a REAL rendering of what the known processes taking place inside the cell are like. Also, to my understanding, this is a to-size animation; meaning everything is proportional to the true size of the intercellular components, proceins, etc.

When I first saw this video, it was forwarded to me by the dean of my college. My immediate reply to her was “thank you, now they made a video about WHY I got interested in biology and have joined the ranks of ‘biomedical engineers’”.

Trully, these folks do amazing work! Even though I myself play with 3D every once-in-a-blue-moon I cannot even begin to comprehend the amount of work that went into this amazing few-minute show.

Well, alas, there is only so much I can say about this video. Watch it…

p.s. be this a work of a divine being or a statistical blunder, … WOW!

В 2030 году будет построен мост, соединяющий Европу и Америку. Такое сенсационное заявление сделал сегодня на встрече с журналистами Кирилл Ромашов, председатель совета директоров Platinum Media Group. Длина моста составит 6800 километров, ширина перегонных участков 210 метров, в местах размещения пунктов отдыха и административных территорий - до 530 метров.

Основное предназначение моста - организация автомобильного сообщения между континентами. Для этих целей будет предназначено сорокополосное высокоскоростное шоссе. С учётом развития техники, планируемая средняя скорость движения автомобильного транспорта составит 290 км/ч. Таким образом, преодолеть Атлантический океан станет возможным менее чем за сутки. По мосту также будет проложена железная дорога и линия лёгкого метро. Мост будет снабжен тротуаром и десятиполосной двусторонней велосипедной дорожкой. Как заявили в компании Platinum Media Group, параллельно рассматривается вопрос о строительстве разводного моста.

Территория моста и специально созданных прилегающих островов будет объявлена независимым государством. Через каждые 80 километров будут размещены пункты питания (фаст-фуд, кафе), пункт сервисного обслуживания и заправка. Через каждые 200 километров будет четырёх- или пятизвёздочный отель и пункт отдыха (кинотеатр, боулинг, казино). Каждые 100 метров моста будут снабжены сотрудником охраны и пунктом информации. Въезд на шоссе будет платным, ориентировочная цена будет коррелировать с ценами на энергоносители и, по приблизительным оценкам, составит $75. По соглашению с международными спортивными организациями, движение по тротуарам и велосипедным дорожкам будет бесплатным.

Начало строительства запланировано на второй квартал 2023 года. Проект обеспечит рабочими местами более 2х миллионов молдован. По заявлению Ромашова, суммарный объём инвестиций составит не менее $14,700 триллионов.

Особое внимание будет уделено обеспечение энергетической и террорристической безопасности. На протяжении моста будут построены электростанции (как атомные, так и использующие энергию океанских приливов и отливов). Гольфстрим будет окончательно перенаправлен на Урал. Внутренние ВВС будут проводить ежесуточное наблюдение и расстреливать ракетами “воздух-земля” приближающиеся айсберги, потенциально представляющие опасность для конструкций моста.
